Before launching her natural make-up brand NUI Cosmetics, the founder, Swantje van Uehm, worked for many years in the beauty industry. That is where she realised that there is not enough choice when it comes to cruelty-free, mineral make-up. This is how NUI Cosmetics and its first vegan red lipstic was born in the heart of Berlin.

"Nui" means "to feel good" in indigenous Polynesian language.
