Westman Atelier's Liquid Foundation Brush is handmade in Kumano, Japan — home to a centuries-old brush-making tradition and some of the world's most prestigious artisans. Each brush is shaped by hand using techniques passed down through generations, built for precision rather than mass production.

The 5-dimensional brush head is engineered to move with every contour of the face: its flat surface lays down foundation in smooth, even strokes, while the angled edges allow for controlled, precise application around the nose and jawline. Unlike dense, flat brushes, this design distributes product lightly and evenly, so nothing goes to waste.

The handle is crafted from sustainably sourced birch from a Forest Stewardship Council–certified forest in Eastern Europe, finished with a hand-lacquered coat for a smooth, weighted grip. The bristles are made from cruelty-free nylon fibers, selected for their density, softness and durability — designed to hold their shape wash after wash.
