6 years of J'adore bio

How it all began ?

J'adore bio started in 2017 with just the online store and a few brands. I initially relied on a fulfillment center to pack and ship orders, but quickly learned that they were unable to do it the way I imagined. That's when the (still very small) inventory moved into my apartment and I packed the (still very few) orders with a lot of love between working full-time in finance. After long hours at the office, I came home to do what I really love, make research on natural cosmetics, look for new brands, write product descriptions for the website, and try to spread awareness about my little e-shop. This is what I call "Chapter 1" of J'adore bio.

I never planned for J'adore bio to have a physical store but it was absolutely necessary for the business to grow. I first started doing occasional pop-ups and noticed that people liked to try, smell and talk about products with me before buying them – especially since I only sold niche brands. After a few pop-ups, I joined forces with fellow entrepreneur Cristina and we co-rented the shop in Pfaffenthal. After almost a year of slow but steady growth, the first lockdown forced us to temporarily close our concept store… and that's when sales of J'adore bio exploded!

While most local businesses didn't have well-developed online stores at the time of the lockdown , we've been working on ours for 3 years... We were ready for the big order flow and I was so happy! In my personal life I just became a mom couple months earlier and was still on parental leave - so the timing was great for me to make a decision not to come back to the corporate world and fully focus on my son and J'adore bio. Everything happened very quickly during the pandemic- and in 2022 we moved the shop to the most prestigious shopping street in Luxembourg City! This made us much more visible and made it possible to make natural cosmetics known to a wider clientele.

J'adore bio today

Today, J'adore bio is a team of 3 people. We carry some of the best natural beauty brands - and many of them exclusively (Westman Atelier, Innersense, Salt & Stone). We host monthly workshops, offer in-store makeup service, and have big dreams for the future!

As we end our anniversary week full of surprises, I want to thank you for making my dream come true! When I started J'adore bio 6 years ago, I could never have imagined where this adventure would take me. Most small businesses don't exceed 3 years, so celebrating 6 years is truly amazing! All thanks to you, our wonderful community.
