Grown Alchemist, face, body and hand care
Founded in Melbourne in 2008, Grown Alchemist combines ingredients of natural origin with biotechnology. According to the product pages, the share of natural or naturally derived ingredients ranges from 94% to 99%. The range covers the face, with the Hydra-Restore line, as well as body, hands and shaving.
Face: the Hydra-Restore line
The Hydra-Restore Cream Cleanser combines olive leaf, plantain and oat extracts. It removes make-up and suits sensitive skin. The Hydra-Restore Day Cream pairs aloe vera, vitamin E and glycerin with geranium, camellia, jojoba and organic rosehip oils. It absorbs without a greasy film. The Hydra-Restore Lip Balm, with shea butter and rosehip oil, can also tame brows or highlight cheekbones.
The Hydra-Restore Eye Patches are biodegradable hydrogel patches with ectoin, biomimetic hyaluronic acid and caffeine. In an independent clinical study reported by the brand (2026, 23 participants, one 10–15 minute application), eye-area hydration rose by 12%, the look of puffiness fell by 13% and radiance improved by 15%.
Cleanser, serum and regenerating care
The Gentle Cleansing Gel, with aloe vera and chamomile, removes make-up and impurities. The Hyaluronic Acid Smoothing Serum contains triple-weight hyaluronic acid, glycerin and resurrection plant extract. It is fragrance-free. The Smoothing Facial Exfoliant uses fine bamboo particles with camellia and rosehip oils. The Regenerating Moisturizing Cream (polypeptides, rambutan, white tea extract) and the Regenerating Eye Contour Cream (polypeptides, rambutan, green tea, caffeine, fragrance-free) target fine lines and loss of firmness.
The Skin Defense Mattifying Base, with prebiotic peptides, ashwagandha and reishi, blurs pores and mattifies, alone or under make-up. The Prep + Prime Heroes Kit brings together the exfoliant, the smoothing serum, this base and the Hydra-Restore day cream.
Body
The Resurfacing Body Cleanser contains glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids. The Resurfacing Body Lotion combines AHA, BHA and hydrating agents in a light texture. Both are designed for rough or dull skin, including elbows, knees and heels. The Smoothing Body Scrub exfoliates with pumice beads, charcoal and peppermint. The sulphate-free Energizing Shower Gel is scented with chamomile, bergamot and rose.
Hands and shaving
The Invigorating Hand Cleanser, with sweet orange, cedarwood and sage, maintains the skin’s pH balance. The Regenerative Hand Cream combines polypeptides and rambutan extract, without silicones. The Rich and Repairing Hand Cream concentrates organic argan, rosehip and sea buckthorn oils for dry hands. The Shave Gel, with bisabolol and allantoin, works on face and body.
Gift sets
The On-The-Go Essentials Kit holds a hand cream, the day cream and the Hydra-Restore lip balm. The Lip + Hand Duo and the Restorative Hand + Body Duo are limited editions. For the Restorative Hand Cream in the second set, a user trial run by the brand (59 participants, 2 weeks) found that 98% felt their skin was noticeably more hydrated and smoother.
A five-step face routine
- Cleanse with the cleansing gel or the Hydra-Restore cream cleanser.
- Exfoliate with the facial exfoliant.
- Apply the hyaluronic acid serum.
- Apply the eye cream, then the Hydra-Restore day cream.
- In the morning, finish with the Skin Defense base before make-up.
