ILIA: make-up formulated with skincare ingredients
Founded in Vancouver in 2011 by Sasha Plavsic, ILIA combines pigments with skincare ingredients: niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, squalane and peptides. Many products have more than one use, such as a stick for cheeks and lips or a foundation stick that doubles as concealer or contour. The range covers complexion, cheeks, eyes, lips, skincare and brushes. It is the best-selling make-up brand at J’adore bio.
Complexion: skin tint, foundation and concealer
The Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 30 combines skincare, make-up and sun protection, with light coverage and a second-skin finish. It contains hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, which calms the look of redness, and plant-derived squalane.
For more coverage, the True Skin Serum Foundation gives light to medium coverage and a natural satin finish. Niacinamide and allantoin minimise the look of pores and fine lines with regular use. The Skin Rewind Complexion Stick is a medium-coverage foundation stick with a natural matte finish that lasts up to 12 hours. Depending on the shade you pick, it works as concealer, foundation, contour or cream bronzer.
The Skin Blur Hydrating Serum Concealer contains caffeine and Matrixyl™ 3000 Glyx peptides: medium coverage, up to 12 hours’ wear, fragrance-free and non-comedogenic. To prep the skin, the True Skin Radiant Priming Serum combines hibiscus extract, aloe vera and pistachio gum. To set, the Soft Focus Finishing Powder is a talc-free powder that controls shine for 12 hours.
Cheeks: blush, bronzer and highlighter
The Multi-Stick colours cheeks and lips. Its texture melts on contact thanks to beeswax and candelilla wax, shea and cocoa butters, and avocado, castor, sunflower and rosehip oils. The Color Haze Multi-Use Pigment is a matte cream pigment with jojoba and coconut oils, suited to combination and oily skin.
In powder, the Soft Focus Blurring Blush is non-comedogenic and lasts 12 hours. The Sunshift Cream Bronzer combines green tea, microalgae and squalane. The Lightshift Cream Highlighter leaves a fragrance-free luminous veil. The Illuminator is a glitter-free highlighter stick.
Eyes: mascaras, liners and shadows
The Limitless Lash Mascara is our best-selling mascara. Beeswax and carnauba wax coat the lashes and hold the curl, while shea butter and arginine care for them. Its two-sided brush curls on one side and lengthens on the other. It suits sensitive eyes. The Fullest Volumizing Mascara focuses on volume, with arginine and provitamin B5, and removes with water.
The Eye Stylus Shadow Stick, the brand’s second best-seller with us, is a water-resistant shadow stick in matte or shimmer finishes. The Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tint is a liquid shadow that dries to a metallic powder finish, with horse chestnut flower and magnolia bark extracts. The Necessary Eyeshadow Palette brings together six matte, satin and metallic shades in cool or warm tones.
For lining, the Clean Line Gel Liner can be smudged before it sets, and the Thru Line Waterproof Eyeliner lasts up to 24 hours and can be used on the waterline. For brows: the In Full Micro-Tip Brow Pencil and the clear In Frame Brow Gel.
Lips
The Balmy Tint Hydrating Lip Balm is a tinted balm with plant oils and butters, in eight shades. The Lip Sketch Hydrating Crayon gives matte colour that lasts over 12 hours. The Overglaze Hydrating Lip Gloss hydrates for 24 hours without stickiness. The Color Block Lipstick is a vegan semi-matte lipstick with mango butter and apricot oil. To prep the lips, the Lip Wrap Hydrating Mask combines papaya enzymes, shea butter and hyaluronic acid.
Skincare
The Cleanse is a pH-balanced, fragrance-free foaming cleanser that removes make-up and SPF. The Base Face Milk is a hydrating essence with hyaluronic acid in four molecular weights. The Barrier Build Skin Protectant Cream is a fragrance-free cream with colloidal oatmeal, designed for reactive skin. The Bright Start Activated Eye Cream contains sea fennel extract, a plant-based alternative to retinol, and comes with a ceramic tip. The Sun Serum Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 is a mineral sunscreen in two shades that protects against UVA, UVB, infrared and visible light.
