KORA Organics, botanical skincare with noni and turmeric
Launched in Australia in 2009 by Miranda Kerr, KORA Organics builds its skincare around plant and fruit extracts: noni, turmeric, Kakadu plum, algae and silver ear mushroom. The range covers cleansers, serums, moisturisers, eye care and masks. Several formulas offer plant-based alternatives to familiar actives, such as bakuchiol in place of retinol.
Cleansers: foam, oil or balm
The Turmeric Glow Foaming Cleanser is a gel that turns into a creamy foam. Turmeric, aloe and a natural sugar complex cleanse without drying the skin. The Milky Mushroom Gentle Cleansing Oil is a bi-phase oil that turns into a creamy milk. It removes eye make-up, including waterproof mascara, with silver ear mushroom, sunflower seed, babassu and apple seed oils. Use it as the first step of a double cleanse. The Active Algae Calming Cleansing Balm combines microalgae and pineapple enzymes with jojoba oil and squalane. It helps decongest the skin and refine its texture.
Serums: bakuchiol, vitamin C, AHAs
The Plant Stem Cell Retinol Alternative Serum contains 5% bakuchiol and alfalfa extract, with açaí stem cells, noni and rosehip oil. It is used morning and night. The Kakadu Plum Vitamin C Serum pairs Kakadu plum and acerola cherry with ascorbyl glucoside, a stabilised form of vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid. It targets dullness. The Turmeric Glow Drops Niacinamide Alternative Serum replaces niacinamide with crowberry and birch bark extracts to reduce the look of pores and even out skin tone. The Noni Night AHA Resurfacing Serum is for evening use: willow bark, lemon peel and caviar lime exfoliate gently, while hyaluronic acid and tonka bean hydrate.
Moisturisers and face oil
The Plant Stem Cell Retinol Alternative Moisturizer combines bakuchiol and alfalfa with peptides, ceramides and açaí plant stem cells. The Turmeric Glow Moisturizer uses liposomal technology with turmeric, noni and liquorice extracts. It targets fine lines and the look of hyperpigmentation. The Active Algae Lightweight Moisturizer is a light gel with certified organic green algae, green tea and alpine rose, for skin that tends to shine. The Noni Glow Face Oil is the certified organic oil the brand started with. It blends noni with rosehip, jojoba, sunflower, sea buckthorn and pomegranate seed oils, for dry or dull skin. During the day, the Minty Mineral Hydration Mist (aloe vera, microalgae, blue daisy, sea water) refreshes skin and make-up.
Eye care
The Kakadu Plum Vitamin C Eye Cream contains a 5.5% vitamin C blend with red ginseng and quinoa peptide. It targets the look of dark circles, puffiness and fine lines, morning and night. The Noni Radiant Eye Oil combines noni and tomato extracts with rosehip, macadamia, avocado and kahai oils, applied with a rose quartz roller-ball.
Masks
The Turmeric Brightening & Exfoliating Scrub + Mask works as a scrub or a mask, for all skin types. It contains certified organic turmeric and rosehip seeds, plus aspen bark. The Milky Mushroom Ultra Hydrating Mask combines silver ear mushroom, hyaluronic acid, coconut milk and aloe vera. Leave it on for 15 minutes or overnight.
A five-step routine
- In the evening, remove make-up with the cleansing oil.
- Cleanse with the Turmeric Glow foam or the Active Algae balm.
- Apply a serum: vitamin C in the morning, the AHA serum or the bakuchiol serum at night.
- Apply the eye cream, then the moisturiser that suits your skin.
- As an occasional treatment, add the turmeric scrub mask or the Milky Mushroom mask.
Frequently asked questions
