Beauty of Joseon, Korean skincare inspired by the Joseon dynasty
A Korean brand, Beauty of Joseon draws on the beauty rituals of the Joseon dynasty and on hanbang, traditional Korean medicine. It pairs traditional ingredients such as rice, ginseng and red bean with synthetic actives.
Sun protection
The Relief Sunscreen : Rice + Probiotics (SPF50+ PA++++) combines rice bran water, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and squalane. Its light texture absorbs quickly, leaves a natural finish and works under make-up.
Remove make-up
The Ginseng Cleansing Oil, with soybean oil and ginseng seed oil, dissolves make-up and excess sebum; its micellar formula emulsifies on contact with water. It is the first step of a double cleanse.
Masks
The Ground Rice and Honey Glow Mask combines rice hull powder, which exfoliates gently, with honey and kaolin. The Red Bean Pore Clarifying Mask combines red bean extract, fruit extracts and kaolin to exfoliate gently and absorb excess sebum. The Centella Asiatica Calming Mask, a sheet mask, contains 15% centella asiatica, artemisia, ginseng, green tea extract and a triple hyaluronic acid complex.
A five-step routine
- Massage the cleansing oil over the face.
- Add a little water to emulsify it, then rinse.
- Complete the double cleanse with a foaming cleanser.
- When needed, apply the rice and honey mask or the red bean mask, then rinse.
- In the morning, finish with the SPF50+ sunscreen.
